Hall of Fame Criteria

Purpose
The Goshen Local Schools Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Goshen Local School District, have graduated from the Goshen Local School District, and/or have made significant contributions to society.
Award Category
A member of the Hall of Fame can include:
1. Students who have graduated.
2. Teachers, coaches, or administrators.
3. Any other individual who has made a significant contribution to promote the Goshen Local School District academics, athletics, fine arts, or citizenship.
Requirements for Selection
STUDENTS
· Must be a graduate of the Goshen Local School District or have left school for an honorable reason that would not be detrimental to the image of the Goshen Local School District.
· Must have graduated or left at least 15 years prior to selection to the Hall of Fame.
· Must have demonstrated distinguished achievement in academics, athletics, fine arts, or citizenship.
· Can be living or deceased.
TEACHERS, COACHES, ADMINISTRATORS
Teacher/Administrator
· Preferably has served 15 full years and has not left the Goshen Local School District for reasons detrimental to the image of the school.
Coach
· Preferably has coached the same sport for more than 15 full seasons and has not left the sport or the Goshen Local School District for reasons detrimental to the image of the school. Coaching success in a program is not necessarily measured by wins or losses, but may be determined by the degree of respectability given the person or program by other people.
Coach/Teacher/Administrator
· Would be eligible for the Hall of Fame upon retirement or after contributing in excess of 25 years to the school district.
CONTRIBUTOR
· Any individual who has made a significant contribution to the Goshen Local School District.
Examples of Contributors:
1. Individuals who have given significant support and service to the Goshen Local School District.
2. Sportswriter, volunteers, team doctor, athletic trainer, etc.
3. Individuals who have had a significant impact on the Goshen community or have made the Goshen Local School District proud, because they have made contributions to society.
Nomination and Selection Procedures
Completed nomination forms may be submitted by anyone to the Goshen Alumni Association prior to the deadline date.
Selection Procedures
When selecting an individual for membership to the Hall of Fame, consideration will not be given to any actions, achievements, or recognition outside of the specific guidelines. The Selection committee will review all nomination forms and will annually select inductees to the Hall of Fame. The application deadline for a 2026 Hall of Fame recipient will be November 30, 2025.
